How Long Will a Power Station Run a TV?

TV runtime depends on average television wattage and the usable watt-hours available from the power station.

Find the TV power draw

Use the TV label, manufacturer information or a watt meter. Screen size, brightness and picture settings can change consumption.

Estimate runtime

Multiply battery watt-hours by an efficiency allowance and divide by average TV watts. Leave reserve for real-world losses and other connected equipment.

Try the runtime calculator

Enter battery capacity and average device load. This planning estimate uses 85% usable efficiency.

Estimated runtime: 17.0 hours

Actual runtime varies with conversion losses, cycling loads, temperature and battery condition.

Choose by runtime

Which power station fits your TV?

Start with how many hours you need, then compare battery capacity. Include your streaming box, router and any other devices in the total watts above.

For 4 hours at 100W, plan for at least 471Wh before adding extra reserve.

This uses the same 85% planning allowance as the calculator. Extra reserve helps; these estimates are not measured product tests. A shorter TV session may need much less capacity than either option below.
